SYNTAX IT Group is looking for a skilled Business & Systems Analyst.

As we expand our Professional Services Team, we’re looking to bridge the gap between business and IT, driving the implementation and improvement of solutions and systems.

In this role, you will analyze business domains, document processes and systems, and assess business models to ensure seamless integration with technology. By using your analytical skills and technical expertise, you will help optimize operations and support the organization’s evolving needs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business needs and elicit requirements by interacting with business stakeholders and experts. Work closely with IT teams (system architects and developers) to define, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for technology solutions.
  • Identify opportunities and challenges related to processes, systems, and product development. Evaluate and propose optimal solutions, assess feasibility, and contribute to internal process reengineering. Continuously seek ways to improve monitoring, discover issues, and enhance value for customers.
  • Develop or contribute to business cases and business plan initiatives based on quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal IT teams to ensure seamless implementation of new systems and solutions. Oversee vendor tasks and facilitate effective communication between external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Configure and maintain insurance products and related system printouts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company guidelines.
  • Lead and facilitate user acceptance testing, gather feedback, and ensure any technical developments (products, systems, applications, etc.) meet business requirements. Document system changes, create user manuals, and train end users on new implementations.
  • Report project progress and remaining effort to stakeholders while identifying and mitigating potential risks during the implementation phase.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with internal teams by providing training and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • Education: A BSc degree in Business Studies, Business Administration Management, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in business analysis or a similar role, preferably in the insurance sector.
  • Technical Skills: A solid understanding of technology, systems integration, and processes.
  • Business Analysis Skills: Experience in building business cases, eliciting requirements, and conducting testing.
  • Industry Expertise: Familiarity with insurance products and regulations, with relevant certification considered a plus.
